Can I reapply for an esta with overstaying by 1 day due to grieving?

I was supposed to leave August 3rd but left August 4th instead because my gf had a miscarriage on July 13th at 12 weeks pregnant and was still miscarrying on August 2nd which is why I shifted my ticket to August 4th because we were going back to my home Country together. July 28th I was informed that my Dad had passed away. Being hit with both deaths made me depressed. I have my fathers death certificate and I have my girlfriends miscarriage paperwork.
