I’m applying for a multiple-entry Schengen visa via the Polish consulate (USA) for two trips—Poland (Aug 9–22, main destination) and Germany (Sep 28–Oct 9). I’m considering PROVISIT‑VISUM (Dr. Walter) since it clearly meets Schengen insurance requirements and is significantly cheaper, but it’s Germany-based. I’ve seen mentions that some Polish consulates prefer Polish or US insurers, so I’m unsure if using PROVISIT alone could raise concerns. Alternatively, I could use AXA (US-issued) for the Poland trip and PROVISIT for Germany, but I’m worried that having two policies might look inconsistent—does that matter in practice?

Comment: Are you talking about health insurance? Wouldn't it be easier and likely even cheaper to buy a yearly travel health insurance instead of insuring the trips separately. I believe I pay roundabout 30€ per year for a world-wide valid and reputational travel health insurance.
