Should I bring Speedos or Swimming Shorts to China?

I'm traveling to China (Beijing and Shanghai), and unlike last time that I was on a budget, this time I'm part of a business tour and I will stay in fancy hotels with swimming pools.
Are speedos common and appropriate swimwear in China's swimming pools?

I'm from a place where speedos are the most common swimwear. However, I have been to places where they are rather rare or even discouraged.

In China, the swimming trunks we usually talk about are the tight ones, like this. So you need to bring a speedo.

BTW, These loose pants are usually called 'beach shorts' in China. That means they are not for swimming pools, only for swimming at the beach.
